LINKS- POD (Preparing for Optimal Development)

I t is a fact that many families today have dual-earning parents. Because of economic necessities and social realities, both mothers and fathers have to spend long hours at work in order to provide for the needs of their children.

As a partner in children’s development, Links-POD offers a variety of multi-service programs that will cater to the differing needs of young children and their families.

The Links-POD program is committed to the creation of opportunities for learning that will support, facilitate and maximize children’s emergent abilities and predispositions within an environment that is convergent with the child’s social, psychoemotional and cultural contexts.

The Links-POD program aims to provide toddlers and preschool-age children with an environment that will nurture their psychoemotional needs, expand their cognitive abilities and enrich their social and cultural repertoire.

Toddler Group: 2.5 – 3 years old
Nursery: 3 – 4 years old
Jr. Kindergarten: 4 - 5 years old
Kindergarten: 5 - 6 years old

LINKS QUEST (Quality Enrichment & Support Time)

T he Links-QUEST program aims to provide school-age children with the appropriate learning environment and teacher-facilitated time-blocks in which they can manage their homework activities or learning tasks which need daily reinforcement and enrichment.

Although Links-QUEST does not aim to replace the ‘parent’ factor in a student’s life, it realizes the challenges that many parents and families face in helping the child manage the reality of present-day large-class sizes as well as intensive curriculum programs and academic requirements.

Links-QUEST aims to provide the children with the time and motivational atmosphere in which they can reinforce and enrich learning so that when they come home, they will have time for less stressful interaction with their parents/caregivers and more time for meaningful interactions that can help develop not only intellectual but socio-psychological and emotional skills and values which only parents can impart most effectively.

We offer tutorials in

all academic subjects (preschool, elementary, high school)
small-group or one-on-one settings
Filipino literacy and language learning
English language and communication for foreign students

T E A C H E R T R A I N I N G

LINKS PROMPT (Programs and Resources in Organization and Management for Professionals in Teaching)

Goals:

To contribute to the continuing in-service training and development of incumbent teachers, academic supervisors and school administrators.
To help schools in their organizational planning and development.
To serve as an outreach arm of LINKS School for Life in contributing to the improvement of education in the community.

Services to be provided:

On-site or off-site training modules for teachers, supervisors and administrators.
Counseling and consultancy service to school proprietors and administrators on educational planning and organizational development.
Assistance in setting up a prospective school or revitalizing an existing one.

LINKS REACH (Responsive Action and Christian Outreach)

O utreach is a vital part of the entire School for Life template. Embedded within the school’s vision, mission and goals is a deeply-felt commitment to provide little acts of service that may help children and families of neighboring underprivileged communities. Links School for LIFE also affiliates itself with local, church-based, educational and community-based groups and individuals who want to use our school as the staging ground for various outreach activities.

LINKS Christmas Outreach with Barangay Tumana Children (December 2008)
LINKS Science Literacy Outreach, California-based Space Systems Loral Engineer, Mr. Nikolaas Agbayani taught school aged kids the basics of rocket design and provided hands-on activity on launching rocketships (August 2009)
Post Ondoy – Medical Outreach organized by Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team for residents of flood-damaged Barangay Tumana(October 2009)
Medical Outreach organized by Loyola Grand Villas Homeowners’ Association for Barangays Tumana, Pansol, Sitio Payong, & Malanday (November 2009)
LINKS Christmas Outreach with Barangay Tumana Children (December 2009)
University of the Philippines-LINKS Outreach Project organized by college students who staged original plays for and distributed school materials to children of Barangay Sitio Payong (May 2010)
