Because of economic necessities and social realities, both mothers and fathers have to spend long hours at work in order to provide for the needs of their children. As a partner in children’s development, Links-POD offers a variety of multi-service programs that will cater to the differing needs of young children and their families. The Links-POD program is committed to the creation of opportunities for learning that will support, facilitate and maximize children’s emergent abilities and predispositions within an environment that is convergent with the child’s social, psychoemotional and cultural contexts. The Links-POD program aims to provide toddlers and preschool-age children with an environment that will nurture their psychoemotional needs, expand their cognitive abilities and enrich their social and cultural repertoire. Links-QUEST aims to provide the children with the time and motivational atmosphere in which they can reinforce and enrich learning so that when they come home, they will have time for less stressful interaction with their parents/caregivers and more time for meaningful interactions that can help develop not only intellectual but socio-psychological and emotional skills and values which only parents can impart most effectively.
